Mr. Osman became a Jr. Partner of MDC since April 2007. Mr. Osman specializes in M&A and corporate commercial matters, and has practiced as a lawyer since 1997.
Before joining MDC, Mr. Osman headed the legal department of a telecom company in Indonesia for about a year. During his stint as the legal department head, he handled various transactions including negotiation and contract drafting with the vendors, co-location agreements, tower sharing agreements and site acquisition. He was also involved in telecommunication regulatory matters such as telecommunication license and 3G frequency issues.
Prior to that, Mr. Osman was a Senior Associate in a major law firm in Jakarta which is the member firm of an international law firm. He started specializing in M&A and corporate commercial since the early days of his career with this firm, while also had the exposure to other area of practices such as capital market and securities and banking finance.
He also worked in an international law firm in Tokyo (Japan) in 2001 for three months under a secondment.
Mr. Osman holds a law degree from the University of Indonesia (1997) and a master of law degree from Leiden University of The Netherlands (2002) under a scholarship funded by The Netherlands government. Mr. Osman is a member of PERADI (Indonesian Advocate Association).
Besides Bahasa Indonesia and English, Mr. Osman also speaks Mandarin Chinese and Hokkien. He is a sworn translator of English - Indonesian and Indonesian - English.
